I read this as a child...well it wasn't that long ago really now that I think about it but hey...
Watership Down is a novel that stays with you. The way Richard Adams writes his story is brillant and it really is a beautiful and gripping read for any age. The one thing I love about Narnia is that it can be read by the young and the old. Watership Down is the same, any age group can read it and fall in love with this other world. Isn't that why we read? To 'hold eternity in the palm of your hand'* and to truly live? That is what Watership Down evokes for the reader and that is why it is a simply remarkable text.
